The truth and lies

Dear Editor,

It seems to be a popular thing to do nowadays by our president, the press, news channels, politicians, talking heads on TV, etc. Our president alone as of five weeks ago is said to be responsible for 21,000 lies. At the rate he lies, I’m sure you could add at least another 1,000 to date.

Now that’s pretty impressive. It’s almost one a day since the day he was born. If the total is from the day he came down the escalator, then it’s almost 14 times a day.

I’m not writing this letter to defend or deny. I would just like some answers to some questions. Where can I go read all these lies? Is there a website that lists them, or has somebody started an open-ended book? Find me a credible source and I will buy you dinner. What is the biggest, best, or affected millions of Americans, or, won any awards? Let me give you some examples.

“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. You will save $2,500.”

The “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan” was awarded the lie of the year.
