We can open up quicker

Dear Editor,

In regards to “Going green” (May 23), I think it is terrible that all of these businesses were closed in the first place. They would know how to control distancing so they should have been able to stay open.

I think it is time that all of the businesses in our town open up. It is not like the stores have big long lines of people. Distancing would be easy to do for them. This would also apply to hair salons and barber shops.

This would be easy to control there. In restaurants and bars, control can be done by designating only certain tables. In bars, they can designate which bar stools can be used.

Churches could open by simply seating people at least 6 feet apart.

The library theater could open by seating people 6 feet apart as could the Warren Public Library.

Distancing can be controlled in all of our businesses and they should have never been closed in the first place.

So let’s get everything open again as many have been hurt by all of this just because we have a governor that does not have enough faith in our business owners to be able to control this themselves. He thinks he has to dictate to them. He has done enough damage to businesses in this state.

Barry Keller,

Warren
