Extremism in modern politics

Dear Editor,

We are constantly reading about the missteps of the president. Why can’t the Socialist leftist Democrats (yes, socialists) find something good? A Michigan State Representative (Dem.) is facing censure from Michigan state democrats for grievances she committed; among them was a visit to Pres. Trump to thank him for mentioning hydroxychloroquine. It was her decision to take it, and she recovered from Covid-19. It’s sad when politeness and appreciation bring repercussions to anyone, especially to POTUS.

Pres. Trump was called xenophobic about the travel ban, but it proved the right thing to do. Even Joe Biden admits that. Nancy Pelosi, Dr. Fauci, and others in the beginning urged citizens to go about their business when POTUS started restrictions. Interesting!

Where was Nancy Pelosi when the bills for more money to HELP AMERICANS recover needed to be passed? She certainly wasn’t doing her job. She sat “doing her thing” at home while millions of Americans were waiting for funds for recovery. Days were wasted through her negligence or apathy. The “party of the worker” really let the ball down on that one.

Americans want to work “safely.” Many of them realize without returning gradually to work, there won’t be a country in which to return. Some governors have taken their authority to extremes, and Americans are revolting. Politicizing possibly?

It is really pathetic to see the extremism in modern politics. The democrats would appear to want socialism; there are countries that have that kind of government, so relocation is always an option. The US is not considered a socialist country, even with Medicare and other programs. Hopefully, we’ll keep it that way.

Sincerely,

Norma Bankoske,

Warren
