Operation Christmas Child

Dear Editor,

Once again, the trailers have left Pleasant Community Church loaded with shoebox gifts of love headed to needy children around the world. 8,030 shoeboxes filled with school supplies, hygiene items, shirts and shoes, toys, and stuffed animals left Warren on November 26th. There were tools for 10-14-year-old boys, sewing kits for 10-14-year old girls, gifts for 5-9 -year-olds, and blankies for 2-4-year-olds. Most importantly, each child receiving a gift will have the opportunity to learn of the Greatest Gift of all, Jesus. 2,949 of those gifts came from the churches, organizations, and individuals of Warren County! The rest were brought in from Bradford, Corry, Emporium, and St. Marys.

Thank you to all who brought in those filled boxes. You have made an eternal difference in so many lives, as well as in the lives those children will touch.

Thank you to the Times Observer and Atlantic Broadband for getting the word out about National Collection Week. The men and women at The Toy Shoppe, your bright, colorful wooden toys will bring more smiles than you could possibly imagine for many years to come. To the congregation of Pleasant Community Church, there are no words that could explain to the world how you walk by faith and are a voice of hope. Because of all that you have done on behalf of God’s children, you will surely be known by your love. Tom, Joanne, and Tim, your unending support and encouragement went above and beyond!

I have been so blessed to live in the most amazing place in God’s world and am forever grateful to call Warren my hometown.

On behalf of Operation Christmas and His children, thank you!

Patti A. Seth,

Central Drop-off Leader,

Warren
