Hearings

Dear Editor,

The House impeachment hearings, in particular, the testimony of Professors Feldman, Karlan and Gerhardt, made it clear that Donald J. Trump committed several crimes that are impeachable and deserve being removed from office. That, of course, will not happen because a majority of Republicans are more concerned about their re-election rather than their sworn duty to protect our constitution no matter who is in power.

Professor Turley did not address the constitution per se, instead of a vis-a-vis insight into relevant and indisputable facts. He had a strong and compelling philosophical argument against impeachment. I agree. Now, if a person who took a human life was not subject to the law rather than a philosophical proposition should that person be exonerated? The response from Turley would be quite interesting, to say the least in his rejoinder. May we hear from the distinguished Professor?

Sincerely,

M.J. Shanshala,

Warren
