Take your brain to the polls

Dear Editor,

So is your brain telling you that local elections aren’t all that important?

Does your mind say it’s not a presidential year and there’s no governor to elect so why vote on Tuesday, November 7th from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.?

Well let’s rethink that!

Selecting and electing people to sit on Warren City Council involves oversight of Warren Firefighters, Police and ambulance services. The mayor and six Council members approve a budget which deals with street and bridge maintenance and improvements, safe sewer and water systems, emergency management in time of a catastrophe, code enforcement, food safety, parking, leaf collection, care of parks and street landscapes, building permits, recycling, property maintenance, planning and zoning, finding grant monies to assist with various projects– to hit the highlights.

The most crucial elections are those local ones which directly impact your health, safety and well-being. This election you have the privilege to elect persons in your hometown to keep Warren, PA running smoothly and looking appealing.

Vote on Tuesday, November 7th from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. It’s the patriotic thing to do. And take the kids with you to set a good example for their future.

Respectfully submitted,

Mrs. Karen Davis,

Warren
