Dear Editor,

As a parent and tax payer in the school district, I am very disappointed with the school board’s actions. They have been in negotiations with the teachers for over two years now and nothing has resulted from it, but a teachers’ strike. This clearly suggests that the current make-up of the school districts negotiating team has failed. It seems obvious to me that it is time for a change, as they are making no progress. The teachers deserve a fair contract and we, the community deserve to have this resolved quickly. The lawyer has made $137,000 over the past two years, according to boarddocs on the school district web page. We have paid him that much to lead the district right into a teacher strike.
