I was very pleased to read Commissioners Eggleston, and Kafferlin voted to table the bed tax issue two weeks for more information gathering on the proposed increase.

I would have to see a line item budget from the WCVB on how they plan to use that estimated $30,000 before approving any increase. It is very irresponsible to vote on tax increases of any amount, without a thorough evaluation on how the money will be used. Mr. Sherman claims “There are so many ways i can promote Warren County if you give me an extra $30,000”. Lets see it! I would love to see in print how it will benefit us.

I think the WCVB does a good job of promoting Warren County the best they can with what they have to work with. I just do not believe its realistic to think tourism will solve the economic problems in this area.
