Larry W. Rogers, 84, of Corry, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA.
He was born on August 22, 1942, in Jamestown, NY, a son of the late Harriett (Smith) Borton and Glenn Borton.
Larry was raised and educated in Youngsville, PA and graduated from Eisenhower High School. After high school, he worked at the state hospital for a few years. Then he got into his lifelong career of truck driving. He started his career in Warren, PA and throughout the years he worked for several different companies and was driving trucks until he retired at 81. During his driving career, he also worked for Lictus Oil for a short time and was a paper delivery driver for the Corry Journal.
He enjoyed working on cars and was very mechanically inclined and willing to help all his friends and family with their vehicles. He also enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races and spending time with his family, especially his beloved wife, Barbara and his best buddy and cat companion, DaisyMae.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Winans) Rogers, whom he married on June 29, 1997, in Corry, PA; son, Lawrence Raymond Rogers in infancy; two brothers, James Rogers and Robert "Bobby" Borton; granddaughter, Brittany Rogers and great-granddaughter, Clara Rose McEldowney.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Louise (Joe) Benward; two sons, Larry Joe (Wendy) Rogers and John (Jolynne) Rogers and stepchildren, Becky Peterson, Sherrie (Steve) Crowe, Joy (Tim) Linkerhoff, Lonnie Peterson and Ryan Peterson.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Randy, Ryan, Brandon, Justin, Anna, Alexandra Rose, Lisa, Amy, Nick (Amanda), Kira (Trevar), Colin (Hannah), Trenton (Alexcia), Riley, Lucas, Sydney (Jake), Hayden and Taige; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Larry's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the years of love, laughter, and memories shared with him.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 24th at Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407 from 5 PM until the time of the service there at 7 PM. Pastor Les Utegg will officiate.
The family would like to thank the St. Vincent ICU Team for the tremendous care they took of them and of Larry.
