Joyce Elaine (Oakes) Loutzenhiser, 78, of Fredonia, NY and previously of Youngsville, PA, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on September 12, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on May 13, 1948 in Erie to the late Byron and Marie (Stancliff) Oakes. Joyce was a very loving mother and wife. She loved spending time with family and friends. She always treated Tim and Chris's friends like they were her own. Joyce enjoyed cooking, camping, being outdoors and gardening. Her faith and her love for her savior was unwavering, especially enjoying her times at church with her congregation. She was very devout in her love of Jesus. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Joyce will be the first one to say she lived a beautiful life.
She is survived by her two sons, Timothy E. Loutzenhiser and Chris L. (Kimmy) Loutzenhiser, two grandsons, Kori (Lexy) Loutzenhiser and Ryan Loutzenhiser, her 3 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Janet Doubec and Carol (Dean) Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Keith E. Loutzenhiser as well as two brothers and a sister.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 16th at Riverside Cemetery, 1486 PA-27, Pittsfield, PA 16340, with the Rev. Don Carlson, pastor of Fellowship Church in Brocton, NY, officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N Main St, Youngsville, PA 16371, to help defray funeral expenses.
