Tammy Sue Ruhlman Rogers, 54, of Youngsville, PA, passed away surrounded by her family and friends on August 4, 2026. She is her family’s Sunshine, known as Aunt Beanie to her nieces and nephews.
Tammy was born June 12, 1972 in Warren, PA to Danny and Barb Ruhlman.
She attended Youngsville High School and after graduating, she attended the Wilma Boyd School of Travel in Pittsburgh, PA. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. After graduating from the Wilma Boyd School of Travel, she was offered a job for American Airline in Raleigh, NC where she relocated after college. While working at American Airlines, she was able to travel and to pursue her passion. While working in the travel industry, she was offered a position as Branch Manager for the Keowee Travel Agency in South Carolina where she relocated and resided for the next 20 years. Upon returning home to Pennsylvania, Tammy became involved in the canine care and daily activities of New Hope Service Dog Program and was offered the Office Manager position. She was voted for the President’s position in 2010 which she still held. With her amazing business background and her dog knowledge, she became an asset to New Hope Assistance Dogs, Inc. service dog program. With a deep affection for veterans, she was drawn to the veteran’s area of the program. Tammy was well-versed in both the business management from Tri-County Technical School in South Carolina; and in her family's business in the dog industry where she was raised to care for the dogs at an early age. She helped maintain a full grooming boarding training facility during her teenage years.
She learned to groom and train dogs in obedience and AKC conformation showing her Afghan hounds, her favorite breed where Honey was her favorite dog. Doing police protection training, Schutzhund work and search and rescue, thus providing her hands on working dogs and kennel operations experience. Tammy held certifications in Canine First Dogs and Kennel Operations Experience. She also held certifications in Canine First Aid, and CPR. She was certified for Massage Therapy, Reflexology and Reiki. She belonged to the Girl Scouts and was a member of the 4H Dog Club. She studied photography and loved taking pictures. Traveling and photography were her passion.
She is preceded in death by her Sister, Danielle Ruhlman Snyder and her brother-in-law, James C. Snyder; her husband of 10 years, Eric Wayne Rogers; her paternal grandparents, Frank and
Louise (Mary) Ruhlman; and her maternal grandmother, Ann Bialczak Peters.
She is survived by her parents, Danny and Barb Ruhlman; her significant other, Kyle Magaster; her fur babies, Skye, Zeppi, Maisy and Salty; her nephew, Colton Starks and his wife Amber and their children, Danielle and Silas of North Carolina; her niece, Cassie Haight and her husband, Kyle, and their children, great niece and great nephew of Warren, Jade and Miles Haight.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McKinney Funeral Home in Youngsville, PA. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, 179 Davis Street, Youngsville, PA 16371 from 11 to 1 pm at which time a service will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Rick Hamrick officiating. A graveside service will follow in Youngsville Cemetery, and after the burial, the family invites everyone back to the Church Fellowship Hall for a Celebration of Life Luncheon.
