Ronald D. Amon

Ronald D. Amon, 84, of Youngsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 27th, 2026 at his home surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on September 5th, 1941 in Beaver Falls, PA, Ron lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and dedication. He spent 15 years as the Chaplin at the Warren State Hospital and before that he was the minister at the Otterbein Grace United Methodist church and also the Wattsburg/Phillipsville United Methodist churches where he was highly respected by the people of the community and his congregation.

Above all, Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He found joy in spending time outside planting trees, mowing his lawn and treasured the time he spent with those he loved. He has traveled out west many times with his wife and wintered in Old Town Florida. He will be remembered for the elaborate scavenger hunts he created for his family on holidays and the work he put into his beautiful property.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia An(Dorwart) Amon, his children, Christy Amon-Chipman and Steven Amon, both of Youngsville, and his grandchildren, Chance and Gage Amon of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene Amon, and brother, Jack Amon.

Family and friends are invited to the Warren State Hospital chapel for visitation on Wednesday, July 8th from 4pm – 6pm at which time a memorial service will be held.
