Rev. Madeline S. (Miller) Edwards, 83 of Warren passed away on July 29, 2026.
Madeline was born to Joseph T. and Virginia (Tolles) Miller on April 5, 1943. Madeline was a well educated woman earning a B.S. in Business Administration from Worcester State College, a M.B.A from Golden Gate University, and finally her Masters in Divinity from Dubuque Theological Seminary.
Madeline married the love of her life, Theodore Edwards, who preceded her in passing.
After serving her country in the Army as a Chaplain, Madeline returned home to serve churches in Illinois, Texas, and Kansas before coming to Warren and serving as Reverend of the Emanuel United Church of Christ before her retirement in 2024. Madeline served as an HIVAIDS Support Group Facilitator, a member of Toastmasters International, Kiwanis International, and Rotary International. In her spare time, Madeline enjoyed fishing, playing bocce, and just generally being social. She loved a good Potluck. She also held a special place in her heart for her dogs and her cat.
Madeline is survived by her daughter, Marcia Edwards-Marsh; her grandchildren; Daniel Russell, Samantha Griffin, and Francis Edwards, and her nine great-grandchildren.
Madeline is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter; Susie, and her grandson; Travor Russell.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. A memorial service will be held at Emanuel United Church of Christ on Monday, August 3, at 11AM with one hour of visitation prior.
