Drew Alan Owen, 67, of Warren, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Drew was born on April 23, 1959 in Warren, PA , a son to the late Norma and Louis (Bud) Owen. He graduated from East Liver Pool High School in 1978. Following graduation, he advanced his handy-man skills by working in concrete, construction, and plumbing & heating. He spent 11 years installing floating roofs on oil tanks at Petrex, Inc. Following that line of work, he worked at Allegheny Coupling, where he retired in February of 2026.
Drew met his loving wife, Connie, while working at Allegheny Coupling. Connie & Drew were married on June 29, 2026, in the Chapel at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Though their time as husband and wife was cut short, they shared a beautiful relationship filled with a lifetime’s worth of love.
To know Drew was to love him. He had a gift for making people smile and was always ready with a quick joke that could brighten even the most difficult day. Drew was exceptionally handy and could fix just about anything. No matter how often his daughters called with another household problem, he was always there to lend a helping hand. He found joy in woodworking in his garage, camping at Family Acres with Connie, and creating treasured memories with his beloved grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Drew developed a passion for photography and loved capturing the beauty of the outdoors through his lens. He treasured time spent with family and friends, whether it be hanging in his garage or at chicken roast parties, and found comfort in the simple pleasures of watching Westerns on a snowy day. He will be missed immensely by his family and friends, but we know his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
Drew was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Connie, of Warren, PA; his daughters, Svea (Johnathan) Owen, Izzy (Coll) Dininny, Erin (Chris) Johnson, and Emmy (Vincent) Watkins, of Pittsburgh, PA; his siblings, Robert (Cathy) Owen, Scott Owen, and Reina Johnson of Warren, PA, and Gale (Julie) Owen, of Fort Pierce FL; Four grandchildren, Rue, Myles, Mila and Dimitri, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Drew and Connie’s home in Warren, PA on June 18, 2026. Additional information can be found on Drew’s social media page or by reaching out to Izzy, Svea, or Connie.
