Robert Charles Cornwall

1946-2026

Robert “Bob” Charles Cornwall of Center Street, Randolph, passed away at UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown on June 27, 2026.

He was born on May 19, 1946, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of the late William Edgar Cornwall and Agda (Holmberg) Cornwall.

He grew up in Warren, Pennsylvania, and was a 1964 graduate of Warren Area High School. He also graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in Electronic Technology. He proudly served four years as a Staff Sargent in the United States Air Force as a military police officer stationed at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, New York. He was employed by Cornell Cooperative Extension as a milk tester and later worked at Flickinger’s and SKF, from which he retired.

Bob had many hobbies that he enjoyed throughout his life. His lifelong passion was playing the guitar, and for more than 17 years he played in local bands on Saturday nights throughout the area. He was an avid golfer who played in the men’s league at Cardinal Hills and treasured the friendships he made there. He also operated a lawn mower repair business from his home, working on mowers in the evenings after his full-time job. In his spare time, he loved fishing, boating, hunting, and spending time with his family.

He was a member of East Randolph Methodist Church for more than 40 years, where he often shared his love of music by playing guitar and singing special music during services.

He was the biggest kid at Christmas, and family will always remember the quirky gifts he gave Happy and the laughter they brought.

He is survived by his three daughters: Jennifer Senn (David) of Randolph, New York; Diane Graham (Gregory) of Randolph, New York; and Bethany Bush (Glenn Davis) of Orchard Park, New York. He was a proud grandfather to Hayden (Annie) Senn, Wesley (Jessica) Senn, Madelyn Senn (Jacob Crino), Carter Graham, Evan (Emily) Graham, Kassidy Graham (Jaiden Huntington), Cooper Bergman, Oliver Bush, and Chandler Bush, and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild. He is also survived by his cousin, Beverly Carlberg; his sister-in-law, Loretta Cornwall (Ron Comitz); and his niece, Deborah (Marc) Hicks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Happy, who passed away on January 30, 2024; his brother, William Cornwall Jr.; his infant daughter, Elizabeth Anne Cornwall; and his twin granddaughters, Mackenzie Martha Senn and Paige Marie Senn.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday (July 5, 2026) from the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph. Services will follow at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Tim Middleton will officiate. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery in Niobe, New York.
