Randal L. Bines

August 13, 1956 -May 18, 2026

Randal Leroy Bines, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, surrounded by his loving family. He was 69 years old. Randy’s generous spirit lives on through the lives of others, as he was a devoted organ donor.

Randy was born on August 13, 1956, at Warren General Hospital in Warren, Pennsylvania, to Beatrice Brown Bines and Robert “Bud” Bines. He and his beloved wife, Linda, made their home in Gray Court, South Carolina, where they resided together for the past 28 years.

Randy worked for 40 years as a truck driver ending his career with JGR Trucking Company and enjoyed the new adventures and seeing new places across the USA.

Randy was a man of warmth, humor, and boundless love for his family. He was known for his kind heart, his gift for making others laugh with a well-timed joke, and his talent for cooking the favorite meals of those he cherished most. To his 17 grandchildren, he was simply “Papa” — a man whose presence filled every room with joy and whose memory will forever be woven into their hearts.

Randy is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Linda Bines of Gray Court, SC; his father, Robert “Bud” Bines of Warren, PA; a sister, Judy Walker (Jamie) of Hershey, PA; two brothers, Steven Bines of Florida and Scott Bines of Warren, PA; and five children: Joshua Bines of Coraopolis, PA; Jason Bines of Bradford, PA; Jennifer Hazel (Shane) of Fountain Inn, SC; Jaime Pearson of Canton, GA; and Kevin Bines of Gray Court, SC. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren who adored their “Papa”.

Randy was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Beatrice Brown Bines, and his sister, Debra Lee Bines.

Randy left this world with love and peace, just as he had lived — surrounded by those who meant everything to him. His kindness, laughter, and enduring generosity of spirit will be remembered always.

There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.

“His kind heart continues in the life of others.”
