Nancy J. Gorton

PA on October 15, 1939, the daughter of Robert Paul Sampson and Martha Irene (Frampton) Sampson.

Nancy was a 1957 graduate of Warren High School. She was of the Protestant faith. She worked for many years at the Loranger Plastic Company in Warren. Nancy enjoyed her home. Her door was always open to welcome her family and friends. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and spending winters in Arizona.

Nancy will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, who she loved dearly.

The joy of her life was the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left behind to cherish Nancy’s memory are her children, Robert (Jill) Gorton and Richard (Karen) Gorton, both of Warren, PA, Tim Gorton, Sharon (Rick) Albaugh and Patti (Stephen) Wilson, all of Clarendon, PA., along with her grandchildren, Jamie (Mike) Faulk, Rick (Jenny) Albaugh, Daniel (Kristen) Albaugh, Stephanie (Kenny) Sturdevant and Kala (Kevin) Schoolcraft. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren. Nancy is further survived by her loving and faithful companion, Cleatus.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Gorton Sr., a sister, Roberta Sampson, and two grandchildren, Jesse Shumann and Dustin Albaugh.

There will be no calling hours or services observed.

Memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department, 17 North Main St., Clarendon, PA 16313.
