Joe D. Morrison

Joe was born June 13th, 1938 in Irvona and was the son of Fred and Beulah (Barnhardt) Morrison. He was married to Sarah Bailey who died October 23rd, 2008.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Kelly D., and brother Tom.

Joe is the father of Steven Morrison and Ronald Sweet, both of Warren PA, brother of Fred D. (Pet), of Richmond VA, Susan Rowles of Irvona, Robert (Tim) of Irvona, 1 Grandson Peter D & wife Julie, 3 Great-Grandchildren Madelyn, Leah, and Lane.

Joe was a US Army Sergeant 1st Class & Retired from US Army Reserves of Jamestown NY.

He worked as a Union Carpenter, Park Ranger at Black Moshannon State Park in the 1980s, Asphlyn Tree Service, and Struthers Wells, Volunteered Van Driver for DAV Van. Joe loved to hunt and fish.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 6th, 2026 from 4 – 6 with a Funeral Service at 6 pm with Pastor Robert Queen at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home, INC. in Irvona PA. Burial will be in IndianaTown Gap National Cemetery, Annville PA May 7th, 2026. Honor Guard from the Janesville V.F.W. will perform the Honors Wednesday evening.
