Anthony “Tony” Richards, 47, of Sheffield, PA, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was born in Rome, GA, the son of Randy Richards and the late Kelly Wadsworth.
He was employed at Warren State Hospital for 25 years and spent the last 3 years working as a Veteran’s Career Coordinator in Mckean and Potter County, excelling in every task he took on. When Tony was not working, he was coaching basketball. Over the course of 20 years, Tony coached both Middle/High School girls and boys in Tidioute, Youngsville, Sheffield and Bradford, PA. Tony also found time to coach his sons for AAU with B. Edwards Elite, Much Game and the NWPA Hoosiers.
In addition to his wife, Samantha, whom he married on December 9, 2018, he is survived by daughters, Genny (Josh) Bosnick and grandson Lee, and Lily DiPenti; and his three boys, Tony, Alex and Dane Richards; brothers Randy (Angela) Richards of Manitou, KY and Terry (Brandi) Richards of Sheffield, PA; 5 nephews, Jonathon, Nathan, Noah and Mason Richards and Hunter Russo, as well as 2 nieces, Lily and Molly Richards.
He was preceded in death by his mother Kelly and his grandmother, Patricia Cummings.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of family.
