Scott Douglas Williams

Scott Douglas Williams

Scott Douglas Williams, “Will”, passed away in his home, along with his loyal companion dog, on Friday afternoon, Jan. 23, 2026. He was 64.

Scott was born on Feb. 11, 1961. He was the son of Charles A. and Patricia Black Williams of Warren; PA. Scott was a 1979 graduate of Warren Area High School and joined the United States Coast Guard right after graduation. He served 8 years in the Coast Guard from 1979-1987, stationed in Cape May, New Jersey and then in Falmouth, Massachusetts, with the eastern U.S. as his area of deployment. After his honorable discharge from the Coast Guard, he worked at Ellwood National Forge for many years and then retired from the Warren State Hospital after another 20 years.

Scott will be remembered for his quick wit, strong opinions and love for his country. He loved fishing on his boat, in a stream or on the ice. He was good friends with a select few, including Mike “Mad Dog” Kiser and his chosen family at Anderson’s Tavern in Frewsburg, NY, who cooked, laughed and cared for him every day. We are thankful for his tight circle of friends there including, Ryan “FF” Johnson, Heather Larson, Michelle Pitts, Tracy Horner, Carrie Anderson, Chris Wolf, Shannon “You get it my way” Helms, Ernie Faust, and Todd “Big Guy” Westerdahl.

Scott was totally devoted to his faithful, by-his-side-dog, Tucker. They left together.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, mother, and nephews and is survived by his sister, Beth Williams English (Gregory) of Warren, PA: many cousins, and a niece and nephew.

Per Scott’s wishes, no services will be held.
