Ronald A. Shaw

Ronald A. “Ron” Shaw, 88, of Starbrick, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in his home.

Ron was born in Akley, PA, on Jan. 23, 1938, the son of the late Ralph E. and Vera L. Morrison Shaw. He was a graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1955. He worked for 35 years with the former National Forge retiring as a machinist. Ron attended Wiltsie Community Church, in Russell, PA, for many years.

In his younger years, Ron enjoyed golfing, wood working, cabinet making, furniture making, table making, and visiting with his friends and family. Ron also had a love for racing, he attended races at State Line Speedway, as well as traveling to numerous NASCAR races all over the country. Ron and Barb also enjoyed spending their last 23 winters in Florida.

On Dec. 22, 1984, he married the former Barbara A. Lundmark in Kidder Memorial Church in Jamestown, New York.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Barbara A. Shaw; two children, Robert A. Shaw and wife, Jane of Dillsburg, PA, and Debra K. Chapman and husband, Darrell of Waterford, PA; grandsons, Ronald D. Shaw of

Nebraska, Robert A. Shaw Jr. and wife, Katie of Wisconsin, Ryan D. Shaw and wife, Eva of Georgia; seven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Sophia, Robert III, J.J., Logan, Carolina, Lucy; 2 step granddaughters, Jennifer, and Jackie; step-grandson, John; brother, Gail R. Shaw, of Starbrick, sister, Beverly D. Shaw of Brooksville, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Ron was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert E. Shaw, Theodore E. Shaw, Ralph E. Shaw, and Jerrold R. Shaw.

Friends will be received at the Wiltsie Community Church, 2981 Swede Hill Rd., Russell, PA 16345, on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11AM to 1PM. Funeral services will follow at 1PM with the Rev. C.D. Moore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.
