Nellie L. Vecellio

She was born on Oct. 27, 1935 in Lewis Run; a daughter of the late Sylvio and Angelina Vecellio.

She was a 1953 graduate of the Bradford Area High School.

She was a member of the former Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, working on crossword puzzles and visiting the casino. In younger days she was a talented bowler, having won in league and tournament events.

She was employed for forty-six years by the former Airco Speer / KOA Speer until her retirement.

She is survived by one brother, James (Debbie) Vecellio of Warren and numerous loving and caring nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She loved and adored each one of them.

In addition to her parents; she was also preceded in death by sisters, Lena (Bruno) Cary and Louise (Edward) Dudick; brothers, Henry (Rose) Vecellio and Leo (Sally) Vecellio.

At Nellie’s request there will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church, Bradford, with the Rev. John Jacquel as celebrant.

Entombment will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Bradford.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. 50, Memphis, TN 38101-0050 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc., Bradford.
