Georgia A. Houghwot
Georgia A. Houghwot, 84, of Union City and formerly of Lottsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at AHN St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA surrounded by her loving family.
Georgia was born June 27, 1941, in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Wayne and Josephine Ploss Parks.
Georgia had worked at Blair Corp in the returns department for many years. She attended Lottsville Methodist Church and she was a member of The Grange, Chandler Valley Chapter. She was also an unofficial member of many local fire departments throughout the years.
Georgia loved animals especially horses, frogs, cats and dogs. Her main priority was raising and caring for her family, she especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Georgia loved babies and enjoyed trying to soothe the fussy ones. Her radio CB handle was Gabby. She was a social butterfly who loved to laugh, gab and could talk to anyone. She was an avid reader and loved to cook and was known for her homemade bread.
Georgia is survived by her children: Brenda Klaue, David (Kim) Beebe, Deborah Carpenter (Wendy Timmons), Shelly Gillingham, Amy (Earl) Mitchell, Jake Bertch (Jeff Holdsworth); a stepson: Jerry (Barb) Houghwot; two sisters: Ella Mae Parks and Shirley Cartwright; a brother: Sam (Kara) Parks, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Georgia is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Houghwot; a son: Gary Beebe; a cousin who was like a sister: Ada Riel; two brothers; three sisters; a beloved grandson: Cody Bertch and a stepdaughter: Linda Brown

Family and friends may call at McKinney Funeral Home, 54 W. Main Street, Youngsville, PA on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1PM. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from noon until 1PM.
