George A. Knepp Sr.

George A. Knepp Sr., 77, of Clarendon passed away on Feb. 25, 2026. George was born to

Elizabeth and George Knepp on June 6, 1948, in Altoona, PA.

Following graduation from Warren Area High School in 1966, George joined the Army. He served proudly in Vietnam before returning to the Clarendon/Warren area to serve as a Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office.

On June 14, 1990, George married the love of his life, Barbara Fellows, who survives at home.

Along with various other rewards, George was Purple Heart and a Bronze Star recipient for his service in Vietnam where he was shot in action. Upon returning stateside, George was told he may never walk again before proving the doctors wrong and walking almost 18 miles a day as a Letter Carrier for the next 30 years of his life. George served as the Post Commander at the Clarendon Legion. He always enjoyed being active, participating in softball and dart leagues whenever he could. George was also very passionate about motorcycles and motorcyclists. He was a member of ABATE, a non-profit organization designed to educate people about motorcycle safety. He will truly be missed.

George is survived by his beloved wife, six children; Nancy Eastham, George (Kimberly) Knepp

Jr., Arthur Knepp, Johnathon Knepp, Heather Foot, and Heidi Rodgers; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; 3 brothers, Richard, Timothy, and Bud Knepp; and his best friend, Michael Blanks.

George was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Michael Knepp, and his stepsons, Shawn and Steven Forbes.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Pennsylvania Ave E. Warren, PA 16365. Friends and family will be welcomed at the funeral home from 4-6PM on Tuesday March 3. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at 11AM with Rev. Dale Haight officiating; an hour of visitation will take place prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.

George will be laid to rest at Warren County Memorial Park.
