Saundra J. Ishman

She was born on Feb. 4, 1943, in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Claude Sharp and Agnes Betty Mae James Allen Sharp.

Sandy was raised and educated in Titusville and Union City area. After school, she married and worked at Sylvania in Warren PA as a laborer. She then shifted her focus to her family and spent most of her time caring for them.

She enjoyed bingo, casinos, gambling, gardening and metal detecting. In her younger years, her main passion was refinishing furniture and woodworking. Sandy also greatly enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert LeRoy Ishman, whom she married on Sept. 20, 1958; son, Rodney Ishman; two daughters-in-law, Cathleen Ishman and Kathy Vash Ishman; sister, Judith Smith; two brothers, James Sharp and Larry White and companion, Preston Cottrell.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Tawnya (Gene) Midcap of Sheffield, PA; two sons, Quinton Ishman of Erie, PA and Scott (Jolean) Ishman of Pittsfield, PA; three stepsons, Andy Cottrell of Pittsfield, PA, Roger Cottrell of Clarendon, PA and Darrell McCumber of Burlington, NJ; brother, Rodney James of Madison, OH and sister-in-law, Mary Francis White of Grand Valley, PA.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Chelsea (Nichole), Devin (Jordan), Savahanna (Riley), Cole (McKenzie), Paul, Dan, Zach and Alison (Brady) and several more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Sunday, Feb. 22nd at Sheffield VFD Station 72, 318 S. Main St, Sheffield, PA 16347 at 1 pm. Pastor Trevor Smith will officiate.
