Ronald L. Morrison

Ronald Lee Morrison, 77, of Lebanon, PA, and formally raised in Sheffield, PA, passed away peacefully early on Monday morning, Feb. 23, 2026, at the VA Medical Center in Lebanon, PA.

Ron was born on May 20, 1948, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Homer T. Morrison and Ruth L. (Abplanalp) Morrison. He was a 1966 graduate of Sheffield High School and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1972, earning the rank of Sgt(E5). His military service remained a source of pride throughout his life.

After returning from his deployment with the Marines, Ronald continued his education by graduating from INSCO Computer School in 1975. He went on to build a long and successful career as a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst.

On April 29, 1989, he married Karen C. Cunningham in Wescosville, PA. Together, they shared many years filled with family, friendship, and community involvement.

Ronald loved giving back to his community across several different organizations. He was a member of the Manheim VFW Post 5956, Hemlock Archery Club, Myerstown Rod & Gun Club, and the Masonic Lodge 284. He also devoted his time to public service as a former member of the Northwestern Lehigh School Board, a former auditor for Weisenberg Township, and a former member of the Planning and Zoning Board of Cornwall Borough. In his free time, he thoroughly enjoyed being in the woods, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Left behind to cherish Ronald’s memory are his wife, Karen Morrison of Lebanon, PA; his two sons, Scott Morrison of Alburtis, PA and Brett Morrison of Cobden, IL; his two daughters, Jennifer Morrison of Houston, TX and Katelyn Morrison of Pittsburgh, PA; and his four grandchildren, Cole and Ben Morrison, Lily Morrison, and Kaiden Shue. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Lindsey of Youngsville, PA, Ray Morrison of Warren, PA, David Morrison of Sheffield, PA, and Homer (Ted) Morrison of Warren, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ruth Morrison, and a brother, Terry Morrison.

Ronald’s family will welcome friends on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, from 10 am to 11 am at the Borden Funeral Home, 203 W. Main Street, Sheffield, Pa. Funeral services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Ruth Ann Varatto, presiding. Full military honors will be accorded at the Sheffield Cemetery by the Sheffield and Clarendon VFWs and Warren American Legion Funeral Detail, as well as representatives from the United States Marine Corps.

A luncheon provided by the ladies of the community will follow at the Sheffield United Methodist Church, 11 West Main Street, Sheffield.
