Larry R. Boutelle

Larry R. Boutelle, 92, of Cherry Grove, PA. died Saturday Feb. 14, 2026, at the Rouse Warren County Home, after an extended illness.

He was born May 27, 1933, in Salamanca, N.Y. Larry was the son of the late Herbert Calvin and Irma Young Boutelle. He had resided in Salamanca, NY, for 19 years, and was a Cherry Grove resident for the past 45 years and previously a 10 year resident in Tucson, AZ. Larry was a 1951 graduate of Salamanca High School. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, serving on the U.S.S. Piper, a SS 409 submarine, serving as an Interior Communications Specialist. Larry was employed with I.B.M. for 30 years as a Field Engineer retiring in 1987. He was a member of Sheffield V.F.W., Warren American Legion Post 135, Warren Eagle Aerie #313, and a charter member of the Cherry Grove Volunteer Fire Dept.

Larry is survived by his 6 loving children;- Ronald S. Boutelle and wife, Velvet of Holts Summit, MI., Jeffery Boutelle and wife, Linda of Cherry Grove, PA., David Boutell and companion, Julie of Russell, PA., Kelly Hishman and husband, Bruce of Holley, N.Y., Casey Boutelle and companion, Heidi of Tucson, AZ., Ken Boutelle and wife, Patty of Peoria, AZ.,., 16 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara J. Wilson Boutelle whom he married Oct. 22, 1955, in Salamanca, N.Y, and she passed on June 9, 2015; two brothers – Wayne Boutelle, and Daniel Boutelle; and one granddaughter – Sarah Hishman.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Thursday February 19, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Hunt, officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by members of the Sheffield/Clarendon V.F.W, the Warren American Legion and U.S. Navy Personnel.
