Donald M. “Don” Robeson
Donald M. “Don” Robeson, 85, of Russell, PA, passed away on Wednesday Feb. 11, 2026, in the Warren Manor after an extended illness.
He was born March 30, 1940, in Madera, PA, grew up in Beccaria, PA, Clearfield County, he was the son of the late Earl Robeson and Margaret Dobish. He was a 1958, graduate of Moshannon Valley High School where he played baseball. After high school he was employed as a machine operator with MRC Bearings in Jamestown and Falconer, NY, retiring after 40 years. Don was an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler, gardener, he played in the over 30 softball leagues, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, and Steelers fan. Don had a love for Eisenhower High School Sports, and enjoyed watching the kids compete and grow.
He was of the catholic faith and a member at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Warren, Pa. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, member of the Warren American Legion, and the Warren Moose Club.
On July 10, 1965, he married Faye E. Hurtack, in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in Ramey, PA.
Don is survived by his loving children; Marcia Sciabarrasi and husband John of Charlotte, NC, Donald E. Robeson of Warren, PA, Melanie Robeson of Russell, PA, and Steve Robeson of Warren, PA; three grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony, and Tanner; siblings, Marlene Pearce, of Lorraine, Ohio, and Ken Robeson and wife Donna of Russell, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Robeson, and sister, Joann Stack.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 3 to 5 pm at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St. Warren, PA. Additional viewing will be held on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, from 10 to 11 am in St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Ave. W., Warren PA. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM with the Rev. Richard Tomasone, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA.
