Robert M. “Bob” Garrison, 82, of Warren, PA, died on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Warren, PA, on Dec. 21, 1943, son of the late Robert W. and Mildred Sanden Garrison. He was raised in Warren, PA, moved to Windham, Maine, for 10 years, until he returned to Warren in 1988.

Bob was a graduate of Warren Area High School, class of 1963, and continued his education at Jamestown Business College.

He started his career with Garrison-Simonsen Insurance Co., transitioning into entrepreneurship, owning Northeastern Chemical Co. and later, Garrison Homes. Bob finished his career in construction and painting homes in the Warren area. Bob always strived to be the best at his craft, and made many life-long friends along the way.

Bob enjoyed golfing, boating, kayaking, traveling, and had a great passion for cooking and enjoying food. He loved to prepare and share meals with family and friends. In his youth Bob raced motorcross and was an accomplished musician playing with the band “The Cavaliers”.

Above all, Bob most enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and friends. His family was his greatest pride. He truly loved watching all his grandkids play sports and had a beaming glow for all of their achievements.

Bob was a member of several local organizations & clubs including, the Warren Masonic Lodge, Warren Elks Lodge 223, Loyal Order of the Moose 109, American Legion 135, Eagles Aerie 313, Jamestown Eagles Club, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, and the Vikings.

Everyone who met Bob was drawn in by his infectious personality, warmth, genuine smile, and sense of humor. He didn’t just enter a room, he brightened it. He possessed the rare gift of making a stranger feel like an old friend within minutes. He was a master of quick wit and storytelling. Bob was always the life of the party and the heart of the home.

On Dec. 20, 2004, Bob married Cindy Ann Todd, spending 21 loving years together watching their family grow.

In addition to his wife Cindy, Bob is survived by his loving children, Michelle Garrison of Sarasota, FL, Michael Tage Garrison and wife Julie of Windham, ME, and Jodi Jones of Russell, PA; two step-children, John Todd of Union City, PA, and Thomas Todd and wife Nichole of Warren, PA; along with six grandchildren; Nicholas Garrison, Kylie Garrison, Ryan Gargett, Madelyn Jones, Harper Jones and Preston Todd.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Garrison, and previous wife and mother of Jodi, Marcia Garrison.

The Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements, and burial will be at Weiler Cemetery.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be announced, and held at a later date welcoming all Bob’s family & friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the nurses, aides, and volunteers with the Warren Cancer Center, and the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House, for their excellent care and attention to Bob throughout his illness.
