Jeannetta “Net” Helen Calvert

Net graduated from Altoona Area High School and then went on to the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She served as a World War II nurse in Altoona. She was married at the First Presbyterian Church in Altoona, to the late Ralph B. Calvert in March of 1950. She and Ralph later moved to Williamsport, PA, and had attended the First Presbyterian Church there. After their retirement, Net and Ralph move to Ocala, FL, and were last members at the Countryside Presbyterian Church there. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Altoona.

Net was an avid tennis player, especially in her retirement in Florida. She was a breast cancer survivor. Her grandchildren loved to visit her in Florida and would even enjoy their spring breaks there. Net loved her family; she was the best mother, mother-in-law, grandma, and great grandma.

She is survived by her children, Alan (Elizabeth) Calvert and David (Jody) Calvert; her grandchildren, Mindy (Dan) Littlefield, Christy (Jason) Passinger, Scott Calvert, Wesley Delin, Brandon (Laney) Delin, and Kim Calvert; and her great-grandchildren, Chase and Caden Littlefield, Liam and Hayley Passinger, and Harris and Parker Delin.

Net was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Patricia Delin, and her siblings, Florine and James Brown.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave E, Warren, PA, 16365. Per the family’s wishes, there will be no public services.

Inurnment will take place at Dallas Fort Worth Memorial Cemetery.
