Dianne M. Donelson

She was born on Nov.8, 1944, in Jamestown, NY, to the late Rev. F. Eugene and Marie (Paulsen) Donelson.

Dianne was a 1962 graduate of Youngsville High School and then went on to Houghton College, where she earned her teaching degree in elementary education. After college, she moved to the Buffalo, NY region, where she spent 35 years as a third-grade teacher at Elma Primary of the Iroquois School District. Even after retiring, her love for teaching continued as she provided tutoring classes through Literacy Volunteers.

In her earlier years, Dianne enjoyed roller skating, traveling abroad, playing the piano, and singing in The Chapel choir. After moving to her home of 48 years in West Seneca, NY, she spent her summers walking her block, tending her many flower gardens, and enjoying the company of neighbors. Throughout her life, she cherished family time, especially when the cousins would gather. She loved taking pictures and cheering on the Buffalo Bills. Above all, she served her Lord and Savior and faithfully supported those on a mission to lead others to Christ.

Dianne is survived by her niece, Julie Eckstrom (Stacey Cratty), great niece, Mailee Eckstrom, great nephew, Peer Eckstrom and brother-in-law, Winston Wolfe, all of Youngsville, PA.

In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her sister, Jean M. Wolfe.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026 at Revive Wesleyan/McKinley Campus, Hamburg, NY.
