A life long resident of Tidioute, he was born on June 10, 1940 in Warren, PA, a son to the late Carl “Stub” and Thelma Downey Morrison. He served in the US Air Force from 1960 to 1964. Brew worked a the the National Forge for many years. He then drove truck for Heenan Trucking and Morrison Trucking. He held a number of positions at the Tidioute American Legion Post #334 where he was a member. He currently was on the executive and the home associating boards there. He never missed an event held by the legion, always volunteering his time for parades,, or what ever needed to be done. Brew was also in charge of collecting and donating their pop tabs to the shriners. As a hobby he loved wood working, building furniture and many crafts. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Dick is survived by his daughters, Tammy (Greg) Parker of Fort Worth, TX, Britta ( Marty) Nerber, of Clay, NY, his grandchildren, Ashley (Derrek) Hopper, Hunter (Ericka) Nerber Dillon Nerber and Gunnar Nerber, Kyle (Sara) Parker, Cassandra Parker, Matthew Parker, his great grandchildren, Gloria, Adelyn, Gordan, Oliver, August and Amela.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Anderson Morrison and his brother, Terry Downey Morrison.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 from 4-5 pm at the Tidioute Presbyterian Church, 196 Main St. Tidioute, PA, 16351. A funeral service will then be held there at 5pm with the retired pastor, Rev. Ralph Culp, officiating. Burial will be held on Sunday at noon at the Tidioute Cemetery where full military honors will be held.
