Margaret J. Robbins

She was born on May 17, 1945, in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Wilma (Edson) Yanssens.

Margaret was raised and educated in Corry and graduated from Corry Area High School in 1963. After high school, she went to Mt. Sinai School of Nursing in New York City and finished her degree at Jamestown Community College and graduated with her associate’s degree as a registered nurse. Margaret worked at Warren State Hospital for 30 years until she retired. She then worked part time at Walmart as a cashier.

She was a past member of the Corry Presbyterian Church. Margaret was a member of Corry Moose Lodge #98 and the Red Hats Society. She enjoyed knitting, scrapbooking, puzzles and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest R. Yanssens and granddaughter, Lauren Elisabeth Chmura.

Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth (Todd) Greer of Centerville, PA and Heidi (Samuel Jr) Greer of Bear Lake, PA; nine grandchildren, Carisa (Noah) Yurchisin of Hebron, ND, Christian (Nicole) Greer of Titusville, PA, Alex (Lyia Murphy) Chmura of Norfolk, VA, Harley Greer of Centerville, PA, James (Sara Heckman) Greer of Tionesta, PA, Aliesa (Gage Flynn) Chmura of Pittsburgh, PA, Isabella, Dalton and Samantha Greer all of Bear Lake, PA; seven great-grandchildren and two nieces, Tracy (Steve Trump) Yanssens Trump of Baker City, OR and Kimberly (Thomas) McGivney of Aurora, IL.

No services will be held at this time.
