Lance “Mike” Mohney
Lance “Mike” Mohney, 91, of Warren, PA., died Tuesday evening, Dec. 23, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital AHN, Erie, PA., after spending a great day with his family. Mike was born August 30, 1934, in Allegheny County, PA. He was the son of Walter and Edna Stark Mohney. Mike was formerly of Kinzua, PA. and moved to Warren in 1963. He was a 1954 graduate of Warren High School, where he was a member of the high school football team. He had served with the U.S. Marine Corp as a sergeant. He was employed with Penelec for 38 years, as a lineman and retiring from there as an electrical equipment operator. Mike was a member of First Church of God. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, L. Rochelle Ross Mohney, whom he married Dec. 21, 1957, in Kane, PA., 4 Children – Lynn Rossey of Warren, PA., Jamie (Kathy) Mohney and Dennis (Bobbie) Mohney both of Clarendon, PA., Rodney Mohney of Jamestown, CO., 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Rex Rossey, 2 Brothers – Walter & Donald Mohney, 3 Sisters – Norma Bowser, Lois Walters, Winifred Klase.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Jake Babinsack, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, PA.
