John P. Gettings
John Patrick Gettings, 74, of New Cumberland, PA and formally of Youngsville, PA. died on Nov. 3, 2025 in the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home as the result of several strokes. His sister, Joan, his longtime care giver, was by his side.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Thomas and Mary (McGarry) Gettings, John is survived by his five siblings: Mary (Richard) Sullivan of Youngsville, PA; Thomas (Linda) Gettings of Center Valley, PA; Joan Neyhart of New Cumberland, PA; Susan Hoshino of Allentown, PA; and Paul (Linda) Gettings of Rochester, NY.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved and by friends he made during his many years in New Cumberland.
There will be no services. The family plans a memorial during the family reunion next summer.
