George Loomis
George Loomis, 83, born April 5, 1942, in Garland, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Gertrude Manelick Loomis and Orville Loomis of Pittsfield, passed away on May 28, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Linda Jordan Loomis, his children, Diane Loomis (Jeff Lacquement), Troy Loomis (Michelle) and Linda’s daughter, Annie Jordan, whom he graciously adopted, his grandchildren, Ashley and Avery Loomis, Esme and Lila Lacquement and Zoe Jordan Vandenhuevel, his sister LaVaughn (Vonnie) Chenot (Chuck) and their children and, of course, his precious dog, Coco.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas.
George was a graduate of Youngsville High School and attended Grove City College and Penn State University. He was employed by the National Forge, Erie Forge, Channellock and retired as a Labor Mediator for the State of Pennsylvania. George served his community as Pittsfield Township Supervisor, and the Board of Directors for the Warren County Fair along with other positions within Warren County.
George loved hunting with his buddies, riding horses and going to lunch at Double D’s nearly every day with his best friend, the late Ted Vanderhoof. He was always ready for a car ride or a trail ride on his precious horses Duke or Luke anywhere in Warren County.
