Scott F. Grady

Scott F. Grady

Scott F. Grady died peacefully surrounded by family on Nov. 24, 2025, on his late son’s birthday after a long battle with dementia.

Son of the late Robert and Joyce (Richards) Grady, Scott was born on Aug.1, 1956 in Belvoir, Virginia while his father served in the United States Army. After living both abroad and around the US, Scott graduated from Youngsville High School in 1975 when he spent time working in the family businesses, The Pittsfield Inn and The Fairmont Hotel.

Scott worked for the City of Warren Department of Public Works for 32 years. He appreciated his career and spent his retirement reminiscing fondly of his days plowing snow, clearing sewer lines and running equipment. He spent his children’s youth supporting them from various sports sidelines and enjoyed camping as a family with friends. He liked hunting and canoeing with his buddies. Scott was a long-standing member and leader of The Sons of the American Legion in Youngsville where he rode his beloved Harley with the American Legion Riders Post 658. He was also a member of the Eagles Club (Wattsburg and Warren) Amvets (Sugar Grove) and the Elks Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Christopher “Critter” Grady. He is survived by two daughters Melani (Adam) Decker of Chesapeake, VA and Megan Grady of Youngsville, PA, their mother, Chris Case-Crocker, four grandchildren and sister, Colette Grady as well as many nieces and nephews.

While we lost our beloved dad, many have lost a friend in him. Scott will be missed by many. He spent his last years talking about “the good times” and boasting how much “money he saved staying out of the bars”. He was proud of his sobriety. In lieu of flowers we ask donations be made to Hospice of Warren County.

Family and Friends may call at McKinney Funeral Home, 54 West Main Street, Youngsville, PA on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025 from 10am to 1pm where a funeral service will be held at 1:00pm. Rev. Dr. Joe McGarry will officiate. Burial will be at Youngsville Cemetery next to his son, Christopher. Condolences can be shared at www.mckinneyfuneral.com.
