Richard H. “Fuzzy” Pierce, Sr, 81, of Pittsfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at UPMC Hamot.

He was born on May 22, 1944, in Warren, PA, a son of the late Guard E. Pierce Sr and Isabelle (Ferry) Pierce.

Fuzzy was raised and educated in Warren and graduated from Warren High School. After high school, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. He then returned to the Warren area and worked at United Refinery Company for 38 years until he retired in 2005.

Fuzzy enjoyed eating and spending time with his friends and Fuzzy’s Angels at New Beginnings Restaurant in Sugar Grove. He also enjoyed mowing his yard, watching WWE Wrestling and drinking his warm beer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Kelsey) Pierce, whom he married on Nov. 24, 1990; two sisters, Peggy and Pam Pierce; three brothers, Walt, Guard Jr and Jack Pierce and beloved granddaughter, Amanda Craker.

Rich is survived by his son, Richard H. Pierce Jr and his wife Rhonda of Garland, PA and several stepchildren, including, Jamie Crick and his wife Kacie and Jody Fitch; two granddaughters, Adrianna Harris and her husband Jeriel of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Jaden Fitch of Sheffield, PA; grandson, Bradley Pierce and his fiance Jurney Mennetti of Corry, PA and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held by the family at a later date.

Interment will take place in Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, PA.
