Georgianne E. Wiedmaier
Georgianne E. Wiedmaier
Georgianne Elizabeth (Payne) Wiedmaier, aged 101, was called to her eternal home on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025 at the Warren Manor. Georgianne was born on March 31, 1924 to the late Clyde and Ima (Confer) Payne. She was married to the late George Robert Wiedmaier on June 5, 1943 and lived most of her life in Warren, PA. She worked for the former New Process Company and worked as a nanny, caring for children of working parents for several years. In her younger years she enjoyed roller skating with her husband. She was the caregiver for her adult special needs daughter and volunteered and supported the Special Olympics in Warren, and donated regularly to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles even in her last months. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family. She was always up to date on the activities and whereabouts of many of her nieces and nephews (most knew her as Gib or Jo), several of whom visited her around the time of the last Payne Family Reunion in August of this year. She remained mentally sharp until the very end.
Georgianne leaves behind her four children, George Wiedmaier, Linda Scott, David (Kathy) Wiedmaier, and Mary Lou Wiedmaier all of Warren; four grandchildren, C.J. (Heather) Scott, Faye (Dusty) Smith, Carie (Todd) Ristau, and Casey Wiedmaier; nine great-grandchildren, David, Devon, Daniel, Elijah, Norah, Lynleigh, Brionna (Noah), Aaliyah, and Weston; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Georgianne was preceded in death by her four sisters, Alice Haulik, Lulubelle Nackoul, Pauline Rossey, and Audrey Moore; and four brothers, Lyle, Robert, Kenneth, and Rex Payne.
A Memorial service for Georgianne will be held at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at 10 am.
Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery in Warren, PA. Those wishing to make memorial donations in Georgianne’s name may do so through Special Olympics of Warren, P.O. Box 8054, Erie, PA 16505, to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org, or to a charity of one’s choice.
