Deborah Horner

Deborah C. “Debbie” (Shattuck) Horner, 67, of Youngsville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born on March 28, 1958, in Warren, to the late Chester A. and Dorothy L. (See) Shattuck. Debbie had her own day care and worked at Blair for several years before she spent the last 20 years as a secretary for Warren County Memorial Park. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Youngsville, the Order of the Eastern Star Youngsville Chapter #478 as well as the 911 Committee for WCMP. She was a Girl Scout leader and a band mom. She had a plethora of bonus children and grandchildren that meant so much to her. Debbie was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and canning, but most of all, Debbie loved her grandchildren and family and spending time with them meant so much to her.

Debbie was a gentle and compassionate soul whose light touched all who knew her. She offered comfort and guidance with grace, a steady hand to hold, a kind heart to lean on, and a listening ear for those navigating life’s deepest sorrows. Her love for her family and friends was boundless, a reflection of the selfless spirit she carried every day.

Her faith was steadfast and unshaken; it was both her foundation and her peace. Debbie took solace in knowing she would be reunited with her beloved husband, and she faced life’s journey with quiet strength and trust in the Lord. She lived each day with an open heart, walking faithfully in His love and sharing that love abundantly with others.

She is survived by her children, Heather (Randy) Tomaschefski of Youngsville; William (Sheila) Horner of Rosamond, CA; and Ashley Horner and her companion, Brad Chambers of Youngsville, her grandchildren, Gavin, Riley, Autumn, Halia, Adam and Eleanor, her siblings, Kay Repchinuck of Caballo, NM and Norman “Dewey” (Debbie) Shattuck of Melbourne, Florida; her beloved dog, Moose as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all of those that weren’t related but were considered family.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was welcomed into Heaven by her loving husband, Jeffrey “T” William Horner, her brother, Boyd “Butch” Shattuck, her sister/niece, Cheryl Barr, her cat, Wikit as well as the “kids”, Jessica, Monty, Melissa, Wyatt, Jackson, Hannah, Jennifer and Hailie, all with open arms.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N.
