Carol F. Groner, 85, of Corry, PA, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2025, at the Corry Manor.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1940, in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Carl and Nina Bauer.
Carol was raised and educated in Titusville and graduated from Titusville High School in 1958. After high school, she started a family and her main priority was raising and caring for them. When they were old enough, she worked as Clerk Supervisor for G.C. Murphys for 20 years and retired in 2005. Carol enjoyed helping decorate inside of G.C. Murphy’s Store at Christmas time and her home.
She liked to plant and care for her flowers around her house in the summer. She loved spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her chocolate lab, Hershey and cat, Buddy.
Carol and George enjoyed sharing the birthday of Oct. 9th and always had a fun celebration together. She will be missed dearly by George, who loved her very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Greene; two sisters, Darlene Bauer and Norma Brothers and two brothers, Gerald and Thomas Bauer.
Carol is survived by her husband, George Groner, whom she married on June 4, 1994, they celebrated 31 years together this past June; daughter, Sheila Greene; two sons, Roderick Greene and Scott (Amy) Greene; brother, Donald (Carol) Bauer; stepdaughter, Karen (Colin) Gillette and stepson, Scott Groner.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, one step granddaughter, one step grandson, one step great-granddaughter and four step great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 W. Washington St, Corry, PA 16407 on Wednesday, Nov. 26th from 10 am until the time of the funeral mass there at 11 am. Rev. Tom Whitman will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Corry, PA.
