Mary E. Zurcher, 71, of Warren, PA., died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at Rouse Home, after an extended illness. She was born March 23, 1954, in Warren, PA. Mary was the daughter of Bruce and Doris Ruth Wolven Harding. She was a 1972 graduate of Warren Area High School. She was employed as a receptionist with Warren Medical Group for 13 years, retiring in 2017.
Mary was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, and former member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister, former confirming faith teacher and was employed for the church as their housekeeper. She enjoyed knitting, reading and loved to watch, Everybody Loves Raymond show and was an avid QVC shopper. She enjoyed listening and attending James Taylor Concerts. Mary loved to watch her birds from the front porch windows. She especially enjoyed the family gathering every Sunday morning for breakfast.
Mary is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert H. “Bob” Zurcher whom she married March 23, 1974, at Holy Redeemer Church, Warren, PA., 3 children – “Katie” Kathleen Courson and husband, Stephen of Russell, PA., Scott Zurcher and wife, Stacy of
Meadville, PA., Matthew Zurcher, S.J. , currently studying in Paris, France, 1 Sister – Margaret “Peggy” Kellogg and husband, Jimmie D. of Chandlers Valley, PA, 5 Grandchildren – Laura, Rachael, Anna Courson, Alydia and Brielle Zurcher, several nieces, and nephews, her chocolate Labrador, Bailey and yellow Labrador, Cooper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister – Catherine Nasman, numerous treasured golden Labradors.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA., on Thursday, Oct.16, 2025, from 6 to 8 P.M. A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at 11 A.M. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, with her son, Matthew Zurcher, a member of the Jesuit order, and Fr.
