Anastatios “Stacy” Douvlos

Stacy was born Aug. 29, 1930, in Siatista, Greece, the son of the late Demetrios and Maria (Kanpouris) Douvlos.

Stacy opened the Plaza Restaurant in 1958. He worked diligently as a restaurant proprietor for the next 40 years while perfecting his treasured recipes and cultivating a loyal customer base. He became an avid golfer following his retirement in 1998, enjoying all the local courses for many years.

Stacy is survived by his wife, Deidre Southwick Douvlos, whom he married in 1985; children, Maria Stanton and husband Dean of Warren, James Douvlos and wife Lukia of Warren, Suzanne Douvlos of Warren; and stepdaughter, Deirdre McGraw Semonovich and husband Jeffrey of Chautauqua Lake; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Stacy was preceded in death by brother, John; sister, Elaine; and daughter, Sylvia.

Services for Stacy will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
