Nancy Johnson Rossman, 83, of Warren, PA, died on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, in Kinzua Healthcare and Rehab Center.
She was born in Olean, New York on Aug. 17, 1941, the youngest of four children to Donald and Hazel Hogue Johnson. Nancy was a lifelong resident of the Warren area. She was a graduate of Warren Area High School, Class of 1959, and was a member of the reunion committee for many years. Nancy was an active member of the First Methodist Church. She was also active in the community as a member of the Warren Co. Historical Society, Warren Library Association, Warren Co. Genealogical Society, Warren Players Club, and served as a CASA, (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children and was a life member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun club Ladies auxiliary. Nancy was a member of several lineage societies: the National Society of the daughters of The American Colonists, where she held offices at Chapter and State levels, The Flagon and Trencher, Society of Colonial Innkeepers, and the National Society Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims.
Nancy was an avid book reader and had a keen eye for antique collectables. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and was a huge animal lover, especially poodles.
She is survived by her loving children Stephen Rossman (Louann) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Timothy Rossman (Amy) of Russell, PA, Julia Rossman Rogers (Paul), and Amber Rossman Baldensperger (Daryl), both of Warren; eight grandchildren, Lindsay Freeborough (Grayson), Molly Loomis (Trey), Kaitlyn Freeborough ( Sage Sivak), Seth (Emma), Lance and Jayna Baldensperger; Neil and Mitchell Rossman; three great-grandchildren, Brooks Baldensperger, Colleen Loomis, and Darin Sivak.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Johnson in 2000; her brother, Richard Johnson in 2012; and her sister Grace Kuzminski in 2014.
Family will receive friends at First Methodist Church, 200 Market St. Warren, PA on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, from 10 to 11 am. Funeral services will follow at 11 am in the church with the Rev. Jon M. Swart, Associate Minister of First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Chandlers Valley Cemetery.
