Fredric D. Brasington, 84, of Warren, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA.
Fred was born April 9, 1941, in Warren, the son of the late Fredric D. Brasington Sr. and Lillian E. Rickerson. He was a 1959 graduate of Eisenhower High School (Northern Area High School). Fred was employed at the National Forge for 12 years in Furnace Maintenance and then worked at Phoenix Metal in Jamestown as a Brake Operator.
Fred was a member of the first undefeated football team at Northern Area High School. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge #223 and a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge, North Star Lodge #241, and the Coudersport Consistory. Fred enjoyed golfing with friends on all the local courses, and the occasional out-of-town golf trips. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Penn State Football fan. He also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees throughout the years.
He is survived by his two children, Martin B. Brasington and wife Laura of Columbus, OH, and Jennifer A. Anderson and husband Richard of Union City, PA; and a sister, Barbara English and husband John of Russell.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death July 12, 2024, by his wife, Marlene A. Gagliardi Brasington, whom he married in 1969.
Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Tuesday, July 29, from 10 am until noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Bill Beaty, pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
Fred will be laid to rest with his wife in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
