MaryAnn Schill Farrell-Lavery of Cathers Run Road and Breezemont Drive, Leeper, Pa., went to the Angels to be greeted by the Lord and Savior on June 4, 2025. She was born on Sept. 25, 1941, in Lucinda, the daughter of Margaret “Margie” Guth Schill and Bernard F. Schill. She was first married to Louis J. Farrell in 1958, who preceded her in death in 1984. She married Jack M. Lavery on April 8, 2003 who also preceded her in death Dec. 31, 2012.
She loved her home in Cook Forest and contributed to her local community in countless ways.
MaryAnn worked as a factory worker with Sylvania Corporation of Pleasantville and Warren. Afterwards, she began work as a Postmaster in Cooksburg and retired after serving for over 30 years. She was a member of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States, National League of Postmasters, the Clarion County Postmasters, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She served on the Board of Directors of the Cook Forest Vacation Bureau as secretary for 32 years. She was also a founder and treasurer of the Kiddie Pond in Cook Forest, to which she tirelessly sent letters to gain supporters to fund her dream for the future families of Cook Forest. She was also a founding member of Sawmill Center, and was a part of the center’s Board of Directors.
A devout follower of Christ, Mrs. Farrell-Lavery was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Crown, and for several years, was a member of Immaculate Conception in Clarion.
She enjoyed being with her family and greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and her great grandson. She also loved her animal companion, Trixie.
MaryAnn also enjoyed corresponding with her many Facebook friends at her hobby of computing.
She is survived by the following children: Keith Farrell (Jamie Sullivan) of Riverview, FL. Timothy Farrell (Amy) of Newmansville, and LuAnne Farrell-Yates and her partner, Flo Kinch, of Carton.
MaryAnn is also survived by the following grandchildren: Josh, Jeffery, Erika and Nick Farrell, Kristen Farrell (Jonas Chappel), Megan Farrell Dixon (Matthew), Joe Farrell (Abbi), Steven Yates (Laura), and great grandson Jack Yates. She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Jerry Schill, Pam Schill, Bernie Schill, Brian Schill (Linda Schill), and Paulette Pekera (Doug). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces, a special nephew Mike Markle, and brother-in-law Charlie Eiseman.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husbands: Jack Lavery and Louie Farrell, her son Jeff, and special nephews, Chuck and Randy Eiseman. Also, her sister Janet Eiseman.
MaryAnn’s selflessness and commitment far exceeded her family, and touched the lives of her communities and everyone around her.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Faller/Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 19200 Route 208, Fryburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2025 in the St. Michael Church, 18765 Route 208, Fryburg. Father Cory Pius, Parochial Vicar, will serve as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Fryburg.
