Mark Simmons
Mark J. Simmons, 62, of North Warren, PA., died Monday afternoon, June 23, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Mark was born in Warren, PA. He was the son of John Weston and Lois Lundberg Simmons. He was a longtime Warren area resident, working out of town for about 8 years, as maintenance manager with several shopping centers. He was a 1981 graduate of Warren Area High School. He was employed at Betts Industries in the assembly department, retiring in Jan. of 2025, after 30 years employment. He was a member of Struthers Hose. Mark never met an engine he didn’t tear apart. He shared his mechanical abilities with people who couldn’t afford to get their cars fixed.
Mark is survived by his wife, whom he spent 45 years with, Dana J. Bathurst Simmons, whom he married Oct. of 1987, 2 Daughters – Shelby Garrett and husband, Dustin of Pittsburgh, PA., Amy Simmons and companion, Nick Conrad of Warren, PA., 2 Sisters – Brenda Moore and husband, Jeff, Linda Andersen and husband, Jay all of Scandia, PA., 2 Grandchildren – Mason and Aliza Garrett, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers – John E. and Kevin Simmons.
