Julia (Judy) Taber

Julia (Judy) A. Taber, 73, of Pittsfield, PA, passed away on June 19, 2025, at the Kinzua Valley Healthcare.

Julia was born January 21, 1952, in Jamestown, NY, and grew up in Spring Creek, PA.,the daughter of the late Kenneth Durlin, Ruth Britton McKay and Neil McKay. She was a lifelong area resident. Julia was first and foremost a homemaker, although she did work at the Rouse Home, the Warren County Christion School, the Post Office, and was always doing volunteer work and helping others. She was a longtime member of the Pittsfield Otterbein Church, and more recently, the Starbrick Family Church. She loved her family and doted on her grandkids, gardening, canning, reading her Bible and always helping others. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Always putting Christ first in everything she did.

Julia is survived by her husband, John M. Taber, whom she married on September 27, 1969; two daughters, Michelle L Sirianni and husband John, Jaime Nuhfer-Jennings and husband Brian; one son, Jon M. Taber and wife Amy; five grandchildren, Jennifer Chase (Ben), Brandon Daugharthy, Alexia Nuhfer, Jonathan Sirianni, and Amanda Sirianni; a sister, Janet Pierce, of Kentucky, Barb Munsee of Corry, sister-in-law Bonnie Durlin of Kentucky, and brother-in-law John Hazeltine of Bear Lake, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin siblings, Kenneth Durlin and Carol Hazeltine.

Family and friends will gather at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA on Wednesday, June 25, from 11am until 1pm. At which time a funeral service will be held with retired Rev. Bruce Davis, officiating.

The family suggest memorial donations in memory of Julia be made to the Warren County Christian School, 165 Mead Run Rd, Youngsville, PA 16371
