Edward L. Troutman, 71, of Barnes, PA, passed away on June 16, 2025, at Warren General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 1, 1954, to the late Claud and Mildred Troutman, Ed was a lifelong resident of Sheffield Township. Through his life, he was employed by the US Forestry, PennDOT, Bowlaway Lanes, Ipsco, Sheffield Container, and lastly at 5M Feeds, from where he retired. In his younger days, he was also a member of the Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department.
Ed is survived by his two children: daughter Autumn, with whom he shared a home for 17 years, and son Brandon and wife Veronica of Kane. He is also survived by his son-in-law Ryan; grandchildren Brooke, Lilly, Darren, Haylee, Jake, Justin, Ben and Jesse; and great-grandchildren Esmay, Ely, Jem, Rian, Jaxson, and Grant.
Further surviving are his loving sister Becky; longtime close family friends Deb, Jan, and Jill; and the mother of his children, Marsha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; many aunts, uncles, and cousins–including two special aunts, Vernetta “Joni” Pierce and Lois Hunter, who played instrumental roles in his upbringing; and his beloved dogs, Cubby and Kiaha.
Ed’s family will welcome friends on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12 pm at the Borden Funeral Home, 203 W. Main Street, Sheffield, Pa. Services will follow at 12 pm with Pastor RuthAnn Varrato, presiding. A luncheon will be provided following the service at the Sheffield United Methodist Church by the ladies of the church.
