Barbara Ann Blair, age 81, of Youngsville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family following a brief illness at Warren General Hospital on Tuesday, June 17th.

Barbara, affectionately known as “BB”, was born on Dec. 16th, 1943 in Warren to the late Carmon E. Buck and Ida Gertrude (Pickersgill) Buck. Barbara graduated from Jamestown Community College and continued her education, obtaining her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Gannon University. Barbara was a psychiatric nurse at Warren General Hospital for over 30 years.

Barbara’s kindness and generosity was extended not only to her family but the numerous patients she cared for at the hospital. Throughout her career, Barbara was deeply devoted to her patients, offering care with genuine compassion. She extended that same love through church and volunteer work. Barbara was a member of the Youngsville Free Methodist Church. After her retirement “BB” volunteered her time at Love, Inc in Youngsville. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, reading, and spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren).

She is survived by her children Matthew Blair of Harborcreek, Mark (Grace) Blair of Jamestown, NY, Tracy (William) Bunk of Warren, Jennifer Hern of Warren and Jolene (Scott) Olewine of Youngsville. Also surviving are her grandchildren Shawn and Katie Ann Blair, Lindsey (Ian) Jones, John (Jessica) Jones, Will Bunk, Libby Barton, Lauren Covucci, Matt Bunk, Lindsey, Christian, and Chelsea Hern, Ethan Johnson, Brady and Kenzie Olewine, along with her great-grandchildren Logan Dougherty, Oakley Jones and Cylas Houghton. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Friends will be received on Sunday June 22, 2025 at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, 179 Davis St. in Youngsville from 1:30pm till 4pm at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor, Rev. Rick Hamrick, officiating.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Youngsville Free Methodist Church.
